How do I create an API key?

If a new API key is needed or one needs creating, then a user account with the API license needs to be created. This generates the API tab and then new needs to be clicked.

This opens a window where the description for the key is entered and the length of time the key is valid can also be set to any length of time; although best practice is to rotate them every 90 days, this is not mandatory and can be set for the requested/desired length as shown below.

Once submitted the generated key can only be copied while the window is open as shown. Keep it somewhere safe if it is intended to be used for a protracted length of time.

It should be noted if needed keys can be locked and new ones can be generated if required.
